The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, April 3, sees Michael and Victor point the finger at Tucker as Dumas while Lauren tells Nikki her worries. Kyle tells Jack about a possible mole at Jabot while Diane senses Traci is upset.

What Happened On Y&R?

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) met Lauren (Tracey Bregman) at the jazz lounge and talked about how busy she had been. The conversation took a turn when Lauren asked Nikki to betray Victor (Eric Braeden) by revealing his secrets. Lauren explained that Michael (Christian Le Blanc) was deeply troubled by a project Victor had him working on.

Nikki assumed it was related to Victor’s vendetta against Jack (Peter Bergman). She was sorry that Lauren’s marriage was suffering because of it. Lauren admitted she worried that Michael’s loyalty to Victor could lead to his downfall.

Meanwhile, Michael visited Victor at the new ranch. Victor probed him for information. Michael reported that a spy they had planted at Jabot was nervous and afraid that Kyle (Michael Mealor) suspected him. The spy demanded more money to stay quiet. Victor wouldn’t let anything interfere with his revenge on Jack. Michael warned him not to underestimate Kyle, but Victor didn’t think so.

The conversation shifted to Dumas. Michael revealed Damian (Jermaine Rivers) and Nate (Sean Dominic) were related and that Dumas had reached out to Billy (Jason Thompson). Victor thought that Dumas might be Tucker, considering his history with the Abbotts and Winters. He asked Michael if he would continue following his orders against Jabot. Michael told him to drop the vendetta, but Victor refused.

When Nikki got home, Victor stepped away to take a call, and she warned Michael that Lauren was worried about him. She told him that he didn’t have to follow Victor’s plans. However, Michael insisted that someone needed to protect Victor from going too far.

Later, Michael joined Lauren at the lounge, and she immediately noticed the strain Victor had placed on him. She told him to distance himself from Victor if things became too dangerous.

Mistaken Identity

Meanwhile, Traci (Beth Maitland) called Jack, desperate to confirm whether Alan (Christopher Cousins) was truly Alan or if he was Martin. She felt like she was living in a nightmare. Jack told her to be careful. Despite her fears of losing Alan, he told her not to meet him alone. Crying, Traci confessed that she thought Alan was the one, and Jack reassured her that the family loved her.

At Crimson Lights, Jack ran into Kyle. Kyle reported suspicions about Mathison, an executive at Glissade. Mathison had been asking unusual questions about a product outside his area of concern — the same questions Victor had once asked when he tried to steal the sunscreen formula.

When Kyle confronted Mathison, he brushed it off, claiming he had a migraine. Kyle suspected Mathison was a mole working for Victor. Jack said they should bribe Mathison with a better offer. Kyle also noticed Jack was preoccupied, and Jack admitted there were concerns with Traci’s fiancé.

Later, Diane (Susan Walters) ran into Traci at the Genoa City Athletic Club and asked about wedding plans. Traci assured her that Alan had promised her the wedding of her dreams, but Diane knew she was hesitating. She asked if Traci was having cold feet, but Traci denied it.

Alan called. Traci answered and expressed happiness at hearing his voice, thanking him for sending wildflowers. She told him she couldn’t wait to see him again and confirm that he was the man she wanted to marry. When she returned, Diane asked what was wrong.
