The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, April 2, sees Lily demand that Damian tell her the truth about Dumas. Plus, Jack finalizes financing for Billy’s business, and Chloe gives Sally some unwanted advice about Phyllis.
What Happened On Y&R?
At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Diane (Susan Walters) noticed Jack (Peter Bergman) seemed distracted, and she asked if something was wrong. Jack claimed work was on his mind, but she didn’t totally believe it.
They discussed Victor’s interference in Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) relationship with Claire (Hayley Erin). Both wanted to go home soon because their house renovations were almost done. Jack joked about being ready for the “thrill ride,” which made Diane laugh. She told him it would be worth it, and he trusted her.

Trouble
At Society, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) tried to ignore Billy (Jason Thompson), but he insisted their previous conversation wasn’t over. She had researched Dumas but found nothing…that made her suspicious. She worried the fortune could be hiding something sinister, but Billy remained optimistic.
Phyllis pushed for more details, but Billy dismissed her worries. She was adamant that they could succeed without Chancellor and worried their connection to Dumas could backfire. Billy assured her he was weighing all factors and would meet Dumas in person before deciding.
Lily, (Christel Khalil) interrupted them after she overheard the discussion. After bickering, she shared what she knew: Damian (Jermaine Rivers) worked for Dumas, but he’d never met him. It seemed odd that a billionaire was so interested in Genoa City. After Lily left, Phyllis pointed out that Billy didn’t tell Lily everything. Phyllis called Dumas the “Count of Genoa City.” Billy vowed to uncover the truth.
Planning
At Crimson Lights, Sally (Courtney Hope) told Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) about Billy’s working with Phyllis despite her warnings. Chloe mentioned Phyllis’ shady past, including manipulating Kevin (Greg Rikaart). Sally didn’t think Phyllis was romantically interested in Billy, but she didn’t trust the woman in business either. Chloe said Sally should outmaneuver Phyllis before things got worse. However, Sally refused to stoop to Phyllis’ level. Chloe said not to complain when Phyllis eventually led Billy astray.
Phyllis showed up, and Chloe left. She told Sally that Dumas seemed dangerous and wanted Billy to focus on his company. Phyllis hoped Sally could persuade him, but Sally said it wasn’t her place. Phyllis urged her to help Billy see another path. Sally claimed that she trusted Billy’s vision, but Phyllis worried that Dumas was exploiting him. Sally suggested Phyllis’ concerns were more personal than business-related, but Phyllis insisted they needed to protect Billy and his company.
Demands
Meanwhile, Nate (Sean Dominic) and Damian met Holden (Nathan Owens) at the jazz lounge. Damian accused Holden of knowing who was spreading false information about his connection to Dumas. However, Holden acted offended. When Nate assured them he had nothing to do with it, he suggested that they talk to Lily. Damian wanted answers from Holden, but he implied Lily could be making things up.
Lily walked in, upset that Nate had told Damian about the rumors. They wondered about Victor’s motives, and she insisted he was trustworthy. Damian begged them to believe him, but Nate remained skeptical. Damian said he had never approached their company—Chancellor had reached out to him. Holden backed him up, but Lily wasn’t convinced. She demanded to know Dumas’ true agenda, but Damian didn’t reveal anything.
Funding
Jack showed up at Billy’s house to finalize the business paperwork. Billy assured him things were going well but mentioned Dumas. Jack recognized the name and found it suspicious. Billy explained that Dumas had reached out with an offer, seemingly to correct past wrongs involving Chancellor. Jack warned him not to be tempted and asked for reassurance that he wasn’t being distracted. Billy insisted he was focused on proving himself, which satisfied Jack enough to sign off on the financing.
However, Billy admitted that the Dumas situation troubled him. Jack sensed trouble when he learned about Dumas’ connection to Lily and the Winters. Both wondered why Dumas was making overtures to so many people in Genoa City.
