The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, April 1, sees Billy spiral after he learns Chelsea and Adam reunited. Sally tried to be okay with it. Finally, Amy had questions about Damian and Lily’s news about him.

What Happened On Y&R?

Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sally (Courtney Hope) had an awkward encounter at Society. They discussed Connor (Judah Mackey) and how well things had been going. Sally admitted she no longer felt the urge to run when she saw him, which pleased Adam.

He revealed he had reunited with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and wanted Sally to hear it from him directly. Sally wasn’t surprised. Adam insisted it wasn’t planned, but she thought their hearts had always known what they truly wanted.

As they sat down, Sally assured him she was happy for him and that he deserved happiness. She assumed Connor was happy, too. Adam said she also deserved happiness. Sally agreed but admitted it was bittersweet. Sometimes, she wondered how things could have been different.

Adam questioned why she dwelled on the past if she was happy with Billy (Jason Thompson). Sally said it was normal curiosity, denying she had issues with Billy. Adam was skeptical but dropped the topic.

Meanwhile, at Crimson Lights, Billy ran into Chelsea. He assumed she was avoiding Adam. Chelsea corrected him, saying she and Adam had grown closer. Billy asked if they were back together. He thought Adam had manipulated her. Chelsea insisted she knew every trick but believed Adam had changed. Billy doubted it and urged her to reconsider. Chelsea told him to mind his own business. Billy accused her of having a blind spot for Adam. She said Billy just needed someone to hate.

Later, Chelsea saw Adam at the ranch and vented about her conversation with Billy. Adam guessed Billy’s reaction. She insisted that her happiness was what mattered and that Billy needed to accept it. Adam acknowledged Billy would never forgive him for Delia’s death, nor would he ever forgive himself.

He assumed Billy was also venting to Sally and noted there seemed to be trouble in her relationship. He believed Billy was too self-centered to change. Chelsea wished Billy would move on, but Adam doubted it.

At Billy’s place, he and Sally compared notes on their conversations with their exes. Sally thought they should be happy for Connor and accept that things had unfolded as they were meant to. Billy disagreed, still believing Adam hadn’t changed.

Billy called Adam a “black hole” who dragged people in and spit them out. Sally pushed back. She suspected Billy was obsessed with Adam and Victor (Eric Braeden), but he argued he was just being cautious. Sally worried he was incapable of moving on, which made her sad.

Twisted Family Matters

Meanwhile, at the penthouse, Amy (Valarie Pettiford) confronted Damian (Jermaine Rivers) and Nate (Sean Dominic) about their argument. They tried to reassure her, urging her to rest, but she refused to be coddled.

Damian claimed there was nothing to worry about. He insisted that Lily (Christel Khalil) had received false information about him. Amy felt insulted that they were hiding things from her. She demanded the truth, and Damian said Lily believed he had knowledge about her family before they reached out to him. He denied it, but Amy asked if Victor had fed Lily the misinformation.

Nate supported Damian, saying he wasn’t sure where Lily got her ideas but suspected Victor’s involvement. Damian laughed at the thought. He insisted he hadn’t signed up for these accusations when he agreed to help his mother. Amy was uneasy. Damian assured her everything was under control, but she was still worried.

Amy then learned that Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Holden (Nathan Owens) had a history. Nate said it wasn’t important at the moment. Damian promised to handle Lily, but Amy worried. Damian swore there was nothing to worry about.

Amy made them promise to protect their relationship before heading upstairs. Once she left, Damian asked Nate if he believed him. Nate admitted he wanted to but wasn’t sure. He wanted to know who was feeding Lily false information and why someone was trying to make Damian look bad.
