Justin Hartley and Chrishell Hartley are practically soap opera royalty. Though Justin currently stars on NBC’s This Is Us, the actor started on Passions as Fox and later played Adam on The Young and the Restless where Chrishell played Bethany, while she also played Amanda on All My Children and is currently Jordan on Days of Our Lives.
After meeting through mutual friends, the couple started dating almost instantly and have been inseparable ever since. In fact, they just celebrated their two-year marriage anniversary this week. From their first date to their gorgeous wedding, find out more about this once-great celebrity romance.
The two actors first met thanks to a friend who was working on Days of Our Lives with the actress. The future This Is Us star was interested in her, but she was seeing somebody else at the time so he decided to let it go. Little did he know, however, that they’d reunite in the future.
In The Beginning
The pair went on their first official date on October 28, 2013, when a friend set them up to see a concert. Their connection was instant, and they knew they’d be together. In fact, Justin called his future wife the very next day to go out again.
In The Past
Justin was married once before — to Passions co-star Lindsay Hartley in 2004 — but that marriage ended in divorce in 2012. He revealed to Anthem magazine that it took him some time to figure out if he wanted to tie the knot again, but he knew how special Chrishell was and how much he wanted to make that commitment to her. The couple got engaged in July 2016 after almost three years of dating.
The couple was married on October 28, 2017, which was exactly four years after they went on their first date. The ceremony was held at Malibu’s Calamigos Ranch and about 75 guests attended, including Justin Hartley’s This Is Us co-stars. Their first dance was to Do You Love Me by The Contours.
The End
The pair recently announced their split, as it looks like Just filed for divorce in July of this year, although the pair was still appearing together at events.
