What’s Scott Really Hiding on The Young and the Restless?

No one expects a man to return from being held hostage in the Middle East unchanged. But who else thinks that The Young and the Restless’ Scott (Daniel Hall) is acting even squirrellier than necessary?

He’s barking at everyone, especially his mother, Lauren (Tracey Bregman). And didn’t it seem, when Kevin (Greg Rikaart) was rescuing him, like Scott just might run off in another direction?

So what’s Scott hiding? We have a couple of guesses:

Lost Love
Scott seems terribly concerned about the fate of his driver, Ahmed. Could it be that the two were romantically involved, and Scott is afraid of the truth coming out?

Not for his sake. Really, would anyone in Genoa City even blink at the news? But for Ahmed’s safety. The folks who kidnapped Ahmed and Scott didn’t exactly sound like the tolerant, open-minded types.

Set Up
What if Scott set up his own kidnapping as a way of reporting an exclusive story from the “inside?” He didn’t expect his mother to pay the ransom or rescue him, and now he’s stuck.

If international agencies start looking too closely at exactly what happened and how, they might figure it out. And then not only would Scott’s journalism career be over, but he might even face criminal charges!

To the Victor Go the Spoils
Then again, wasn’t it terribly convenient how Victor (Eric Braeden) just swooped in to Scott’s rescue; able to pull off what nobody else could? How did that happen, exactly?

Victor couldn’t have set the whole thing up as a way to get Lauren into his debt – now that she’s in business with the Abbotts? Victor couldn’t be that petty, could he? And Scott couldn’t have found out and been threatened into keeping quiet?

The Mystery of Sheila
Sheila. The majority of problems in Scott’s life up to this point have been caused by Sheila. So why shouldn’t she be behind this, too?

Is Scott protecting his mother – or himself? And what could the multi-faced villainess possibly be up to now?
