The Young and the Restless spoilers for June 8-12, 2020 features a dip into the soap’s archives and a look back at some of the most romantic moments.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
It was romance week at YR and the show took full advantage by presenting five classic episodes chock full of star-crossed lovers, passionate confessions, and epic weddings.
Musical Partners
It’s been merely two years since he exchanged, “I do’s,” with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), but Victor (Eric Braeden) has already grown tired of being a loving, committed husband.
Luckily for Victor, little brother Matt (Robert Parucha) is perfectly happy to take Nikki and Victoria off his hands. Now there’s nothing standing in the way of his pursuing Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) – the “one woman on the face of the Earth” was meant to be with.
Play Pretend
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) always believe theirs to be a storybook romance. So, after the “prince” was exonerated of killing the big bad villain (aka rapist Matt Clark) he escorted his “princess” to a magical land where they could live out the rest of their days – though, in reality, it was just a large, rented tent with an interior designed with an eye towards Bollywood realness.
Cards On The Table
Life is a gamble. And one has to take big risks in order to reap big rewards. Though she was concerned about the status of their relationship, Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) decided to really go out on a limb and accept Michael’s (Christian LeBlanc) blackjack-themed proposal. How else to thank him for arranging that magical casino night?
Get Kevin Fisher
Way back on New Years’ Eve 2010, everybody wanted Kevin (Greg Rikaart). Jana (Emily O’Brien) wanted to have a baby with him…or at least adopt Daisy’s. Day player Alison wanted to jam out with him to some tunes. And Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) wanted to up their relationship status from friends to “it’s complicated.”
Destination Wedding
Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) is pretty sure that fairy tales are a fallacy. But that’s only because she hasn’t visited, nor gotten married in Provence. We’re sure that Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) would highly recommend the trip.
Or maybe not…turns out their second trip down wound up being just as successful as the first. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
