Jana assumes Kevin (Greg Rikaart) will be spending New Year’s Eve with her. Nope. They broke up, remember? Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) assumes Kevin will be spending New Year’s Eve with her. Nope. He’s tired of being her platonic plus-one. Kevin has a date. Check it out. Her name is Allison and she’s a blonde!
They are going to have a great New Year’s Eve together. Except Kevin spends the whole night talking about Chloe and Allison bails on the bore. Chloe finds him, and the two “best friends” agree they both want a whole lot more than that.

Birth Of a Nation
Jana (Emily O’Brien) not only expects her and Kevin to live happily ever after, but she also expects them to adopt Daisy and Daniel’s baby. She visits the jailbird at home. Daisy tries to tell Jana that Kevin isn’t interested, but is cut off by a cutting contraction. Jana ends up helping Daisy to deliver her daughter – which totally ruins Daniel’s plans for a romantic evening with Abby (then-Emme Rylan, now Lulu on General Hospital).
Not Guilty
Adam sits in jail, convicted of murdering Sky. Except that Sharon (Sharon Case) insists Sky is still alive. Except Sharon can’t prove it. Because Sky fell into a volcano. For realz! Sharon totes saw her. Will Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) publish a story about it to save Adam? Uh… no. Phyllis will not. She has plans with Jack (Peter Bergman). Sharon – and Adam – are on their own.
