The Young and the Restless recap for March 9-13, 2020, features some interesting pairings, some interesting capers, and some very interesting requests.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Necessity can make strange bedfellows – and it can also make otherwise rational human beings do strange things. In order to help Chance (Donny Boaz) thwart, “a backstabbing menace to society,” Abby (Melisa Ordway) decided to pose as Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) in order to raid the woman’s safety deposit box – and apparently succeeded.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) grew so concerned over Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) escalating PTSD that she actually asked Sharon (Sharon Case) to act as her daughter’s therapist!
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) were both so desperate for new adventures that they agreed to co-helm the new Media Division of Chancellor Industries – despite their differing work ethics.
Elena (Brytni Sarpy), Devon (Bryton James), Nate (Sean Dominic), and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) decided to join forces and help poor unfortunate Jared (Michael Maclane) who scratched his arm, lost a winter jacket, and became a virtual orphan all in the span of a week. Now all they have to do is find the young man.
Adam and Nick News
Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) – once the voice of reason – have decided to team up and take down Victor (Eric Braeden) because he didn’t hand the company over to his youngest when he asked for it.
And now it seems that Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) are about to come together and deal with a surprising problem in the shape of an in trouble Faith – but what did the poor girl get herself into now?
YR Musings
Lily: “To be honest with you, I started the modeling division at Hamilton Winters, and I’ve also worked at Jabot and Newman, and I ran the Athletic Club.” Lily Winters – Queen of the humble brag.
Chelsea: “I have some really good news to share…Adam and I are engaged.” Chloe: “And what’s the good news?” First of all, HA! Secondly, how can Chelsea still expect Chloe to root for her and Adam when the man murdered her daughter and never paid for it?
Phyllis: “Billy…At one time, we meant a lot to each other. We would have done anything for each other.” Yes, but that was before he slept with your daughter and helped boot you from the top spot at Jabot.
Victor: “Let’s talk about what happened last night.” Adam: “You mean when you told my son to toughen up?” Someone had to…that kid already rides roughshod over you and Chelsea and gets everything his pouty, scheming little heart desires.
Ashley: “This could be the greatest gamble of your entire lifetime. And you, of all people – you’re just gonna walk away from the table without playing one single hand?” Hmm…maybe don’t equate a momentous life choice with gambling.
Nick: “I want to make sure you have this.” Sharon: “My old MP3 player?” What “classic” 90’s hits do you think reside in that “perfect playlist” that Sharon curated? The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
