In Genoa City, when life is good it’s very good, but when it’s bad, it’s WORSE. After choosing to walk away from his family, Billy (Jason Thompson) learned that Victor (Eric Braeden) was ready, willing, and able to restrict access to Johnny and Katie and then he had to face the indignity of being called out for having an affair that he knows he didn’t have — curse you evidence manipulating Victor!

Poor Mariah (Camryn Grimes) went from having no girlfriend to support her during a trying time to having no job at all thanks to Devon’s (Bryton James) decision to scuttle Power Communications. That pretty bartender at Society is starting to look pretty appealing, right Mariah?

Sharon (Sharon Case) had to face the indignity of ratting out her own medical diagnosis to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and then she had to accept Red’s kindness. Because it’s every woman’s dream to be comforted by their ex-husband’s mistress.

And after being labeled a shady lady — and a homewrecker — by Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Amanda (Mishael Morgan) had to go home and face her crazy ex, Ripley Turner, who spent the early part of the reunion standing by her window and brandishing a scarf in a very unappealing manner.

Lola: “Kyle, you need to tell me the truth. Okay? I need you to tell me how you feel.” Kyle: “Summer is just not in my head. If that’s all it was, then maybe this…wouldn’t matter so much. Summer is in my heart too, Lola.”

Since when Kyle (Michael Mealor)? Since the two of you were children playing together at the Abbott mansion — even though every viewer knows damn well that you were raised by Diane in another state. Or maybe you’ve been enamored with her since that time she blackmailed you into marriage by holding her donatable liver sliver hostage? Boy, bye!

Jack: “Anyone who knows me a long time will confirm it. I was a lot like you when I was your age. Worked all the angles; Made no apologies; Set my goals without much regard for who might be in the way.”

Theo: “So, you’re saying you were a self-serving opportunist and, what, so am I? No, that’s not what Jack (Peter Bergman) is saying…but it is exactly what Jack is saying.

Jack: “Hey son. Give me a call when you get a chance. I know something is going on, and I don’t want you to make any mistakes that you can’t undo.” You mean, like sleep with Summer (Hunter King)? Because..that ship has sailed.

Amanda: “How on earth are you still single Nate? …You’re so nice. You’re so sweet. You never judge anyone. You’re funny. You’re gorgeous. Oh, and you’re a doctor.” Fair point well made Amanda (Mishael Morgan). How about addressing your concern with the show’s writers. Maybe they’re more inclined to listen to the opinion of fictional characters than they are the fans who ask the exact same questions.

Chance: “So, you were riding a horse, naked.” Abby: “That actually isn’t one of my most embarrassing moments…I was standing up for a cause that I believed in. And for that, I will never apologize.” You really should Abby (Melissa Ordway). Especially considering the fact that the “cause” was getting your grubby little hands on your trust fund so you could finance a reality show. Tell that part of the story to Chance (Donny Boaz).
