Sure, they’re both pregnant, but at the same time they have nothing in common! We’re talking about two actresses on The Young and the Restless (YR) – Laur Allen (Juliet) and Melissa Ordway (Abby)!
While Ordway is pregnant in real-life, Allen is not, but her character is. The two (baby) bumped into each other on the set of Crimson Lights to take a side by side photo, which Ordway then shared on Instagram.
Victor and Ashley’s TV daughter captioned the photo with the following quip: “When a real baby bump meets a fake baby bump… #YR”
No Baby Switch
There are no signs that Ordway’s pregnancy will be written into the show, which means Y&R won’t be headed for another baby switch storyline involving Juliet and Abby.
When Sheila and Lauren were both pregnant, the show wrote Sheila taking Lauren’s baby, and giving her another one.
It took a while for the truth to come out and the climax of that tale propelled Sheila to Los Angeles and The Bold and the Beautiful.
More recently, Sharon was given custody of Sage’s son Christian, whom she named “Sully”; Nick learned the truth (well, most of it) and Sharon lost her baby boy as a result.
No on-screen rivalry with Abby and Juliet is happening, which is too bad. These two look like they could bring it in some confrontational scenes with one another!
