On The Young and the Restless, Nikki Newman and Phyllis Summers agree on very few things…save that Summer Newman Abbott is amazing…and that she is in great danger from Diane Jenkins, the most evilest evil to ever evil. Should these two…not friends…team up to bring Diane down?
Young and the Restless: Team Work Makes the Dream Work
We’d be open to that, 41% of you hedge, but only if it’s a true partnership. What that means is the women would be truly working together to get Diane (Susan Walters) out of town, not each harboring their own agenda and hoping to destroy the other just as soon as they destroy Diane. They’re both more than capable of playing both ends against the middle.
Young and Restless: Been There, Done That
Remember when Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) teamed up to go after JT (Thad Luckinbill), 39% of the audience recalls. That went super well…until it didn’t. And you expect the same thing here. Phyllis and Nikki know how to suck it up and behave when they have to. And who better than Diane to bring them together — again!
On the Other Young and the Restless Hand
Of course, there are also the 20% of you who remember Phyllis turning around and throwing Nikki under a bus. Let’s face it, Nikki has pulled some tricks and done some naughty things in the past. But she has self-control.

Phyllis is incapable of thinking about anyone but Phyllis, and considering how unhinged she’s been acting for the past few months, Nikki is taking her life in her own hands if she decided to trust her — even for a short time.
Surely, even Diane isn’t worth that kind of risk. Nikki needs to either do her own thing or work with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). He’s no better morally than Phyllis, but at least he’s less likely to completely screw Nikki over.
