Tucker McCall wasn’t the only one shocked on The Young and the Restless when Ashley Abbott invited him to move in with her. We viewers were kind of blindsided, too. As far as he knew, they were over. Tucker was making plans to leave town. He’d sold his company. He had nothing left in Genoa City.

Ashley pointed out that he had his son, his grandson…and her. She didn’t mean romantically. She was offering for them to share a mansion, not a bed. What is the perfume mogul up to? Is Ashley playing her ex-husband, or is she sincere?
Y&R: True Blue
Tucker (Trevor St. John) announcing that he was off for parts unknown drove home to Ashley (Eileen Davidson) just how much she would miss him, 22% of romantics sigh. She loved him once, she can love him again. Especially now that all other aspects of her life seem to be falling apart.

This is all just a part of her long con, 35% refuse to believe differently. Tucker broke her heart, and she wants to do the same to him. Buying his debt and costing him his company was just Step One. Next is making him think she’s fallen back in love with him. Then ripping his guts out through his lips just as he’s puckering up.
Y&R: Anything Goes
We don’t believe that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) knows, 43% are throwing their arms up in despair. Or, rather, we don’t believe that the writers know. Which means the actress doesn’t know. Which brings us back to we don’t know. And until we’re given a clear indicator one way or the other, we refuse to care. Ashley invited Tucker to move into the Abbott Mansion. Fine. Tucker accused her of doing it solely to needle Jack (Peter Bergman). Fine. Ashley even agreed. Call us when anything makes sense.
