Ashley Abbott just got the best of Tucker McCall on The Young and the Restless. She bought his debt, and now she gets to decide what happens to his cash-starved company. Ashley says she did it to get back at Tucker, and to reunite him with his prodigal son Devon. But what if it was more than that? Is Ashley still in love with her ex-husband?
Young and the Restless: Another Fine Mess You’ve Made
Nah, she’s just messing with him, 18% of the audience feels certain. Tucker (Trevor St. John) tried to play her, so she’s playing him right back. He thought he could outsmart her. He thought he could seduce her. He thought he could charm her. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is here to say, “Nope.”
Y&R: Who Knows
We don’t know, 26% admit. And we’re afraid that because the writers don’t know. And when the writers don’t know, the actors don’t know. Which brings us back to the viewers don’t know. It feels different every day, which is not the best way to tell a story. We want to root for…something. But we don’t know if it’s for Ashley to admit her feelings, or to kick Tucker to the curb.
Ashley Abbott: I Wish I Could Quit You, Tucker McCall
Ashley just can’t help loving that man, 56% of you shrug. Do you blame her? The other great love of her life was Victor (Eric Braeden). And Tucker is just like Victor. Only younger and in better shape. (Nobody tells Victor that.) Ashley tried nice guys like Brad (Don Diamont). That fizzled. She tried French businessmen, a photographer named Blade, and a younger man IT whiz. Nothing made the memories of Victor go away.
Except for Tucker. He’s close enough. Right down to treating Ashley like dirt, then trying to gaslight her into thinking it was for her own good. How can she not love Tucker, under the circumstances?
