Jeremy Stark looks like he’s on his way to the big house…and away from The Young and the Restless, now that Chance Chancellor has slapped the cuffs on him in front of Jack Abbott and Diane Jenkins.
All Diane and Jack (Peter Bergman) had to do was frame Jeremy for robbing Nikki Newman, and that was all she wrote. Is this threat really over? Here’s what over 2000 voters told us.
End of the Y&R Road For Jeremy
Put a pin in it, it’s done, 3% of the audience is ready to move on. Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack are criminal masterminds, and Jeremy (James Hyde) will never be heard from again. What other drug lords and law enforcement couldn’t do, Jack and Diane have pulled off. Good riddance to bad — albeit well-dressed — rubbish.
Middle of the Jack Abbott Y&R Road
A more cautious 5% of you aren’t sure what to think. On the one hand, it will be nice to hear less from Summer (Allison Lanier) about the threat Diane and Jeremy pose to her family. On the other hand, you’re having trouble believing it was that easy. Doesn’t Jeremy have a whole army of lawyers at his disposal? And a real thirst for revenge? And a file in his boot?
Young and the Restless Open Road
However, a landslide 91% of fans think this is just the opening salvo. This isn’t the beginning of the end. Instead, it’s the end of the beginning. Whether or not Diane was telling the truth about her relationship with Jeremy, or this is a long con he and she are pulling on the Abbotts, more is bound to happen. Otherwise, it all feels terribly anti-climactic, not to mention pointless. Y&R wouldn’t launch a story about a mortal danger to one of their core families, only to have it peter out and everyone move on as if nothing had happened, would they….? Surely not.
