This is such a complicated situation, 21% sigh. In theory, Summer deserves Kyle’s support at such a fraught time. But since we know that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is alive, we also know that Kyle is right. Diane (Susan Walters) isn’t guilty…of this. So it’s hard to tell either one to pull back when they don’t know what we know.

Summer is only seeing what she wants to see, 23% sigh. She was leaping to conclusions and ignoring that there was little evidence pointing to Diane as Phyllis’s killer. Even Chance (Conner Floyd) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) aren’t convinced. And while we understand her not wanting to hear Kyle defend Diane, she should at least listen to the people in charge of investigating Diane. Wait until she’s convicted, at least.

Young and the Restless Hour of Grief
Summer isn’t thinking straight, and she needs Kyle now more than ever, 56% of the audience insists. We realize she’s wrong. And even if Kyle knows she’s wrong, he’s still her husband and his wife is in genuine pain. He can support Diane to her face.
And he can just listen to Summer as she rants and raves and cries. He doesn’t have to say anything. He doesn’t have to do anything. He just has to listen. That’s what he owes Summer as her husband, not Diane’s son. If he’s so sure his mom is innocent, then the court will find her so. He doesn’t need to prove it to Summer. Especially not while she’s in a perpetual state of hysteria.
