Anyone with eyeballs… or even ears… or the ability to read subtitles, can see that The Young and the Restless is setting up Chelsea Lawson with Billy Abbott. We know that they’re going to be together.

Billy Abbott: Go For It
On the other hand, a slightly larger 9% of voters are gung-ho about the pairing. This is an ideal match! Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) needs someone who is still falling for her act, now that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is totes over it. And Billy has been waiting his whole life for a woman who tells him his feelings are the most important thing ever. That silly Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) actually cares about something other than Billy. Chelsea won’t make that mistake.

Chelsea Lawson: Healing Factor
Both Billy and Chelsea are way too damaged now to be in any sort of a relationship, 41% are looking at the situation realistically. They can’t be there for someone else while they are still trying to figure out their own screwed-up, messed-up lives. Odds are they’ll simply make each other worse. And nobody wants to see that.
You’ve Got a Y&R Friend In Me
They are much better off as friends, an almost equal 42% counter. Their past is too messy to ever make a real romantic go of it. Plus, there’s the Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) issue. It would be too confusing for him. And for them. Just be each other’s sounding board…. and nothing more than that.
