Brother versus brother is a soap opera love triangle staple, and The Young and the Restless is no exception.
Jack (Peter Bergman) was married to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), but their marriage hit the rocks after Phyllis realized she’d been inadvertently sleeping with Jack’s evil lookalike – hired by Victor (Eric Braeden).
Phyllis’s discontent led to an affair with Billy (Jason Thompson). Phyllis left Jack, hooked up with Billy, and stood by her man as he sank deeper and deeper into a gambling addiction.
She offered to pay off his debts after he stole money from Jabot and promised to be there when he got out of rehab. She even agreed to marry him.
But then, Sharon (Sharon Case) dumped Nick (Joshua Morrow) at the altar by announcing that he’d slept with Phyllis. Billy was not pleased to hear that. And, hey, look, is that Summer making goo-goo eyes at her mama’s man – again?
If Billy and Phyllis split for good, should she and Jack reunite? Almost 7,000 matchmakers voted!
Hit the Road, Phack!
That would be awesome, 78% cheer! Jack and Phyllis should have never broken up in the first place. It was all Victor’s fault – and he never paid for it, either.

Jack and Phyllis are adults, and Billy is a kid. He’s a fling, he’s not long-term material. Jack offered to chip in with Phyllis to resolve Billy’s debts – after she asked him to. Jack obviously still loves his ex-wife. And his brother obviously doesn’t deserve her.
Jacked Up
Jack can do better, 21% of you assert. Phyllis broke his heart once, why give her the chance to do it again? She’s made it clear she doesn’t appreciate Jack’s version of love, she prefers Billy’s brand of self-destruction.
So, let her have it! Jack should move on and find someone new, while Phyllis can live with the consequences of ALL her bad decisions.
