The Past Is In the Past: Should Jack Let It Go on The Young and the Restless (YR)?

The past has always been very important to Jack on The Young and the Restless (YR). Well, the past he was proud of, like being John Abbott’s son.

Not the past he’d rather forget, like sleeping with John’s wife, Jill (Jess Walton)… or temporarily costing his dad the family company… or all those failed marriages. The sons he let down. The sister whose heart he broke.

Hey, let’s talk some more about being John’s son!

Except that, according to his mom, Dina (Marla Adams), Jack isn’t that anymore, either. It’s not only Ashley (Eileen Davidson) who is illegitimate, it’s Jack (Peter Bergman), too. Though, for the life of her, Dina can’t figure out why Jack is so upset about it. This was ages ago!

Ashley and Traci (Beth Maitland) are also urging Jack to let it go. But should he? Here’s how almost 5,000 of you feel:

Oh, what’s the big deal, 78% of you dismiss. Who hasn’t had a father ripped out from under them in Genoa City? Look at Summer (Hunter King). She was Nick’s (Joshua Morrow), then she was yours, and now she’s Nick’s again. And she’s perfectly happy, driving around in stolen cars, flirting with strangers.

Look at little Christian, barely in preschool, and he’s already had at least three sets of parents. Do you see him complaining?
