Poor Christian can’t catch a break on The Young and the Restless. He’s lost both biological parents — Adam and Sage — and now his surrogate mother, Chelsea, has skipped town with his half-brother Connor!
Who should raise the little guy now that he’s all alone? Soap Hub posed this question to Y&R fans. Read on for the results?
Saint Nick
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) made the heartbreaking decision to take Christian with her when she and Connor left town. And then she made the equally heartbreaking decision to leave Christian behind so he could stay with Nick (Joshua Morrow).
Chelsea dropped the toddler off at Victoria’s (and presumably watched her take him into the house before she drove off.) Chelsea knew Vicki (Amelia Heinle) would do exactly what she did and call Nick!
The Truth Hurts
Of course, Nick will soon find out Christian isn’t his son.
Chelsea couldn’t bring herself to take him away from Nick. So even though their pseudo family has been torn apart because of Chelsea’s actions, she wanted to make sure Nick would be able to raise him. Not surprisingly, 92% of you feel that Nick should be raising Christian as Nick is the only father Christian knows.
Controlling Grandpa
The rest of you, 8%, feel that Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) should raise Christian. While this would be cruel to do to Nick, taking Christian away and putting him in Victor and Nikki’s care is the next best thing.
If Victor decides he should have custody of Christian (his namesake as Victor’s real name is Christian), the mustached mogul will be in for the fight of his life as Nick won’t want to give up Christian — even after he learns that he’s not his biological child.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
