Nikki has a lot on her plate these days on The Young and the Restless (YR). There’s getting ready for her concert — under Victor’s orders. There’s keeping secrets — about Victor. And, of course, there’s Victor.
There’s always Victor, right? That man could drive a woman to drink! And, when you’re a recovering addict like Nikki, that’s not good.
Nikki is so on edge, will she end up reaching for the bottle again? Over 8,000 viewers tried their hand at counseling.
Falling Off the Wagon
You all don’t have much faith in our favorite stripper turned socialite with a brief foray into politician, do you? Over 56% of you believe Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has no will-power.
If you think of Victor (Eric Braeden) as an addiction — and, let’s face it, he’s deadly for Nikki’s health — then she has no self-control when it comes to things that are bad for her.
The complimentary question is where Jack (Peter Bergman) falls on that spectrum. He and Nikki have had their share of self-destructive moments, so it’s not a done deal whether he’s good or bad for her physical well-being.

But, right now, he does appear to be helping Nikki out mentally. But will it be enough?
Stand Strong
Nikki does have a slightly smaller cheering section, as over 43% of fans have faith that Nikki will keep it together and not reach for the booze as soon as the going gets rough(er).
And, hey, she’s got Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) in her corner. Tessa is helping Nikki stay focused — and sane. And she’s not under Victor’s thumb or on his payroll… that we know of.
Because Tessa is obviously hiding a secret. We’re supposed to think it has something to do with an ex-boyfriend, or her mysterious past “back home.” But we know Victor has his finger in every pie. Why not this one?
How long will Nikki last if that turns out to be the case?
