When Chelsea not only ended her partnership with Chloe Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) but also turned down Summer Newman Abbott’s (Alison Lanier) big Marchetti offer, viewers of the CBS soap worried that perhaps it was the end of the road for the Genoa City con woman.
One fan took to Twitter to ask, “Is @MClaireEgan [Melissa Claire Egan] leaving @YandR_CBS [The Young and the Restless]? She gave up everything today.”
The actress replied, giving just a hint of insight into her on-screen alter ego. “No, no. That’s just Chelsea for ya!😁🤪” she wrote.

That timely reply from the actor must have left some fans breathing a sigh of relief. For a while now, Chelsea hasn’t had a front-burner storyline. However, Y&R spoilers seem to tease that more will come of her recent conversations with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Who knows? Perhaps Chelsea will even end up having a new profession soon — one that doesn’t even have anything at all to do with fashion or clothing design.
