Former Y&R star Lyndsy Fonseca, who portrayed Colleen Carlton from 2001 to 2005, revealed a devastating loss for her family. The actress posted a thoughtful eulogy to her late family member.
Lyndsy Fonseca Lost Beloved Family Member
Lyndsy Fonseca took to Instagram to share a loving tribute to her beloved family dog Romi. She got her pet at age 19 and revealed Romi was with her through thick and thin these past 16 years.
“She’s been with me through it all. Starting at 19. I was a baby. But she was my baby at just 8 weeks. We traveled to so many places. She was my best friend. My companion during so many new hotels. New jobs. New states. New trailers,” Fonseca wrote.
The actress explained how her pup remained quiet on set as she filmed her roles, gaining new friends among the cast and crew. “She was teaching me how to be a mother. How to give love unconditionally and selflessly. She was tough as nails. She treed a bear! True story,” continued Fonseca’s touching tribute.
A small dog, Fonseca, shared that Romi didn’t live her life as a lap dog, and she enjoyed playing hard with larger dogs. “My sweet girl. I’ll forever be grateful of the adventures we took,” wrote the actress. “She died in our arms in a sunny spot in our yard with a vet who helped her fall asleep peacefully.”
Romi’s Life In Pictures
Fonseca also included nine photographs of Romi, including a closeup that showed the pup with its tongue out looking incredibly happy. Other photos showed the actress, her husband Noah Bean, and their three-year-old daughter Greta Lilia Bean.
The selection showed off Romi’s personality and the love the family shared with their beloved pet. Soap Hub extends its deepest condolences to Lyndsy Fonseca and her family on the loss of Romi.
