Y&R Star Melissa Claire Egan’s Son Channels His Inner Victor Newman

Recently, it was bring your son to work day for The Young and the Restless star Melissa Claire Egan. During her oldest son’s visit to the set, Caden Katrosar had a moment where he got to channel his inner Victor Newman, and boy, was it adorable!

The actress who portrays Chelsea Lawson shared a post on Instagram with a photo of her and Caden walking on set and another of him sitting in a director’s chair. She also shared two adorable videos.

In her caption, Egan wrote touching words about how much it meant to have him there after all she’d gone through on her journey to having him. “Very surreal to bring my sweet baby boy and firstborn to work today! (Jake [her second son] was home sleeping:),” she explained. “Not just cuz it’s so cool and fun to show him where I work. And love to work. But I’m also reminded of the countless shots I had to give myself in my dressing room. IVF needles. Trying not to bleed on my wardrobe.

“Also when I had my first miscarriage, coming to work the next day in this beautiful space I call a second home and rushing to leave by lunch to have a D&C,” she continued. “Not trying to bring up the sad stuff, but I’m just so grateful for my 2 sweet angels, and it’s such a reminder to always have hope!!! Here I am with my baby boy. At work. Today was a special day❤️”

Despite the poignant feelings she had, it’s clear that the mother/son duo had a lovely time on set. In one of the videos Egan shared, which you can see above, Caden enjoyed playing in the fake snow outside Society.

Perhaps the cutest moment, though, came when she shared a video of Caden sitting at Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) desk. The little boy got his moment in the big chair, and he wasted no time going through paperwork and answering the phone. It’s possible he got his first taste of a future profession, either in acting or business. Either way, Victor Newman may want to look out — someone other than his kids may want to stay in that chair!
