As Mariah on The Young and the Restless, Camryn Grimes is getting the chance to play a new mother. Now the beloved star has revealed that she’ll be taking on that role off-screen too.
Camryn Grimes Is Expecting
On Friday afternoon, Grimes took to her official Instagram account to announce the exciting news. “I guess you can add mother to my resume. ❣️” she wrote, along with adorable images of her already showing, which you can see in the post below.
The actress first joined Y&R as Mariah’s twin sister, Cassie, back in 1997 and fans have watched her grow up before their eyes. Cassie was killed onscreen, but then Grimes returned as a very grown-up twin or her late sister. Recently, she became a new mom with onscreen wife Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) to little Aria.
Y&R is having quite a baby boom. Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) recently gave birth to her second child while Christel Khalil (Lily) has also announced her pregnancy.
It was back in January of 2022 that Grimes announced that she was engaged to actor Brock Foster Powell, who works as an actor (Mickey and Minnie Wish Upon a Christmas) and writer (Global Gains). He is primarily a voice-over artist.
Soap Hub sends congratulations to Camryn Grimes and Powell on her upcoming bundle of joy.
