Shemar Moore has enjoyed great success since leaving The Young and the Restless in 2001, with his current hit show on CBS, S.W.A.T., about to enter its fifth season and cross the 100-episode mark.

Shemar Moore Shares A Big Update

With 84 episodes having already aired, that milestone just got a little easier, as Shemar Moore took to Instagram to disclose some information that fans are going to love—and will keep the show marching on to the next 100.

“‘Pissing off my neighbors… because today was a GOOD DAY!!!!” the popular actor posted on Instagram, going into more detail about his day in an accompanying video that shows Moore relaxing in his yard, wearing glasses and a fedora, with music by Zayn blasting in the background.

“S.W.A.T. Season 5, just got home from work, we were slated for 18 episodes this Season 5, but we found out today on set that Sony and CBS have given us two more,” he happily declared. “So not 18, but 20, with the possibility of two more after that!”

The new season of S.W.A.T. airs on Oct. 1 and Moore sounds just as excited as fans about what’s to come.

In the video, he reveals that he saw the upcoming special episode that was shot in Mexico, and he’s impressed how it was cut together with the music and other effects.

“Y’all be ready; Hondo on a horse in Mexico,” he said, confirming what fans had already surmised from some recent Instagram posts of Shemar Moore hinting that his character, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, would be riding. “It’s something you ain’t never seen from S.W.A.T., I’m really proud of it.”

Moore also was thrilled to announce that “4 million people think you’re boy’s all right!” and appreciates the support from everyone watching the show.

While the actor seems to have his hands full with work, he’s never been shy about expressing his love for Y&R and returning to the show once in a while. He’s been back a couple of times since he left, last appearing in Genoa City after the death of his on-screen half-brother and real-life good friend and mentor Kristoff St. John (Neil) in 2019. Hopefully, he’ll pay another visit someday for a happier reason and another “good day.”
