The Young and the Restless alum Shemar Moore recently announced that his family is growing soon in a big way.
Shemar Moore Is Going to be A Dad
The actor, who portrayed Malcolm Winters on Y&R, took to Instagram to reveal the exciting news to his family, friends, and fans. “Mama’s smiling from Heaven 🕊️ … Miracles happen … Here comes the BEST part of my life ❤️🔥,” wrote Moore alongside a video he included, sharing all the details.
Shemar Moore explained that he’d hoped to have a child while his mom was still living, but even though she’d passed away, he said she was still part of his and his child’s life. He also shared that he’d become a father on February 8, which is the three year anniversary of his mother’s passing.
During the video, which you can see below — WARNING: Language — Moore and the baby’s mom, Jesiree Dizon, found out that they would be the parents of a little girl. They plan to name her Frankie. The couple found out that they were having a girl at a gender reveal party when a helicopter flew over the location and let out pink smoke. During the clip, Jesiree revealed that if she was having a girl, she expected that they would also try for a second child, which means that Moore could have another baby in the future.
The actor also shared the news exclusively on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show, and you can watch the moment in the video below. He said he was 52-and-a-half years old, and at one point, he thought that ship had sailed. Now, Moore felt he would go to heaven whole when the time came.
