Complicated “family matters” have landed Darius McCrary, the second actor to assume the role of teen tearaway turned shutterbug Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless, behind bars.
Per TMZ, McCrary was arrested on November 27 on a felony count of failure to pay child support. According to court documents obtained by the online publication, he owes $52,788.04 as of March 12, 2019.
This marks the second time that McCrary has been booked on such charges — the first occurring in 2015 — and the second time he has been cuffed in as many months. The performer, best known for playing Eddie Winslow on the hit sitcom Family Matters, was picked up for an out-of-state fugitive warrant on October 25 (as detailed in this exclusive from Page Six).
McCrary entered a plea of “Not Guilty” at his arrangement, and the presiding judge set his bail at $13,197.01 and decreed that he was to be monitored via a GPS device. As of late Sunday evening, he remains in police custody.
