Lily Brooks O’Briant currently portrays Lucy Romalotti in Genoa City. On the show, her grandpa, Danny Romalotti, is a bonafide rockstar. In real life, O’Briant has a burgeoning music career of her own, and she recently released a new single.
The 16-year-old actress recently shared the details of her new release on Instagram. She wrote, “‘Over and Over’ Out RIGHT NOW on all music streaming platforms!! 🎵I hope y’all enjoy this song just as much as I do!
“This song means so much to me because it’s my first original song,” she explained. “It was so scary releasing something so personal to me out into the world but I knew a lot of my friends may be able to relate to what I was feeling when I wrote this song. Make sure to listen and let me know what you think!
“Thank you so much to my incredible friend [Ethan Aragon] for co writing this song and for supporting all of my ideas good or bad. Thank you to amazing music team [RIVETING Entertainment] for believing in me and for guiding me through this process! Thank you so much to [Stephon Riley] for being the best big bro and teaching me all about the industry, recording vocals, and so much more and [Mysterymen] for helping me bring my vision to life,” O’Briant wrote. “I couldn’t have done this without y’all. And most of all thank you to my mom for supporting me every step of the way. I love you all so much! More music coming very soon,” she promised.
O’Briant also shared a second Instagram post describing the real-life situation she experienced that led her to write and record “Over and Over.” In the video, she also sang along with herself while sitting in a car.
Could this actress’s singing talent mean that on Y&R Lucy might end up following in her grandpa Danny’s footsteps? Perhaps that’s coming in the future.
