Young and the Restless Casts New Judge for Victors Trial

Victor’s trial is looming on The Young and the Restless (Y&R) and with Judge Moxley (Jensen Buchanan) taking a step back from the case, a new face must preside over the hearing.

According to Soap Central, James A. Watson, Jr. is just the right man for the job. He’ll be appearing on soap starting March 24th as Judge Murray. There’s no word about how long he will stay, but if all Victor’s (Eric Braeden) crimes come to light, fans could be in for a rather lengthy trial.

Victor is facing a grim fate, and the time of reckoning is upon him. Murray is said to be a no-nonsense law enforcer, so he may be determined to make an example out of the most influential businessman in town. The Newman patriarch better hope that he can blackmail or bribe the newest member of Genoa City, or he could be sitting in the slammer for the rest of his life.

This part isn’t the first time that Watson has taken held an honorable position on a soap. In 1987, he appeared in Dallas to try a case there as well. Watson also has credits for his roles in The Love Boat, Matlock, The District and The Rockford Files television movie franchise.
