An adoption counsellor is coming to The Young and the Restless (Y&R) and fans wonder what sort of drama this storyline will drum up!

Will someone in Genoa City become pregnant and want to give up her baby, or are we looking at a child who’s already here? With so many possibilities, we thought we’d break down some of the options.

Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) married life isn’t the sunshine and roses she was expecting. Will she second guess keeping her baby if her marriage doesn’t work out?

On the flip side, if Abby and Stitch do go the distance, will Abby look to adopt Max (Jared Breeze)? With Max’s mother gone, the couple may want to make their family official.

Could the adoption counsellor be for Sharon (Sharon Case) and Dylan (Steve Burton)? Spoilers promise that Sharon and Dylan will hand Sully/Christian back to Sage soon. Will the loss be too much for them and have them yearning to replace the little one? Dylan may be at his wit’s end after three failed opportunities to be a dad (first with Avery miscarrying, again with Chelsea lying about Connor, and now with a stolen baby) and feel that adoption is their only option.

Fans are also aware that Christian’s father is Adam, not Nick. When this news comes to light, Chelsea is bound to be furious. Will Adam try to make things right by pushing Nick to adopt the baby?

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) has been swinging back and forth between Devon (Bryton James) and Neil (Kristoff St. John). If she ends up pregnant with the wrong man’s child, she may not want to keep the baby. Would she give up her child to save a relationship?

Could this adoption counsellor have something to do with Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) secret baby girl? If something has happened to Chloe, the adoption agent might come to town searching for the baby’s daddy?

A fair assumption would be that the adoption counsellor would be for Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) and Marisa (Sofia Pernas). Previously, we learned that Carmen never officially adopted their daughter, Ava, and with the Santori war in full swing, they may want to ensure their daughter stays safe.

As we see it, there are many ways the show could use an adoption counsellor to its advantage. The more drama, the better, right?
