T he Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that longtime friends Nikki Newman and Neil Winters share a New Year’s Eve kiss that not only shocks their friends and family but may also lead to a possible romance.
While many Y&R fans say they’ve seen this coming, most are not on board for this odd coupling. To ease your mind, Soap Hub has the scoop on how the New Year’s Eve kiss goes down.
When the clock strikes midnight, everyone searches for someone to share the traditional first kiss of the new year and lucky Nikki gets a double dose. First, she shares a sweet kiss with Victor and then Neil plants one on her.
Don’t worry soap fans, as this is all just for show. Neil knew that Hilary would be gunning for him at midnight and Nikki is just a contingency plan. In fact, this was a pre-planned act, and everyone’s in the loop.
Hilary watches as Neil and Nikki engage in a rather shocking public display of affection that would make anyone swoon. Neil hopes Hilary takes the hint and realizes they’re never getting back together.
It seems that the kiss won’t lead to the romance viewers were dreading after all. Nikki and Victor remain a couple, but Hilary has to face some facts.
