Young and the Restless and Sharon Case Say Farewell to Alyvia Alyn Lind

The good news is that Faith survived her auto crash on The Young and the Restless, but the bad news is her portrayer, Alyvia Alyn Lind, has aired for the last time on the CBS soap opera. She’s exited the show, her part has been recast, and now, it’s time to say farewell.

Sharon Case Says Goodbye

“It is a bittersweet day,” Sharon Case (Sharon), Lind’s TV mother, posted on Instagram. “Our baby girl @alyviaalind ‘s final air show as Faith Newman 😢 Aly, we wish you well with your new endeavors & of course we will love & miss you always! ❤️”

“Bravo @AlyviaAlynLind on your amazing work on #YR since 2011! We watched you grow up on screen and could not be more proud of you!” posted YR’s official Twitter account.

“We are so proud to be a part of this iconic show. Y and R lives in our hearts forever,” posted Barbara Alyn Woods (One Tree Hill), Alyvia’s mom, who will be joining her daughter on her new show, Chucky.

Faith never met her sister Cassie (Camryn Grimes), but on Cassie’s deathbed, she predicted that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon would someday have another child, a daughter. That prophecy came true when Faith was born. Lind played the part for a decade but it wasn’t an uninterrupted run.

During the 10 years that Lind played Faith, she landed some gigs that took her away from Genoa City. So, the show hired actress Mckenna Grace (Designated Survivor; Young Sheldon) to play Faith on and off between 2013 and 2015.

Lind amassed quite a few credits over the past decade including playing a young Dolly Parton in the TV movie, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors and its follow-up film Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.

While YR viewers are saying farewell to Lind, who is off to star as a series regular in the Syfy series Chucky, they’re not having to bid adieu to Faith Newman. Actress Reylynn Caster (The Big Show Show) is set to debut in the part on Monday, April 12. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
