After Victor included Adam in unveiling the new reboot of the Newman Ranch, we thought Adam would attend Devon and Abby’s wedding. After all, Abby’s his half-sister. Sure, they aren’t what you’d call close. However, it seemed like on The Young and the Restless, it would take all the Newmans to usher in this new era of the ranch at the location’s first big event. Unfortunately, Adam was absent. Why?
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is the perennial outsider. Over the years, he’s given his family many reasons to ostracize him. Still, recently, he’s been (mostly) on his best behavior with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and especially Nick (Joshua Morrow). The two figured out they could work side by side and not want to punch each other.
Sure, Nikki and Victoria can’t stand the ground he walks on. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have been at the wedding. So what gives? Why wasn’t Adam at the wedding, and why didn’t Victor (Eric Braeden) or any of his immediate family give any excuses to explain his absence?
In addition, Sally (Courtney Hope) tells Billy (Jason Thompson) that she didn’t show up at the wedding because she wanted to avoid Adam. Billy immediately told her that her ex wasn’t even there.

It’s suspicious that Adam wasn’t at the wedding / Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) birthday. What if something’s wrong? After all, he hasn’t been seen since he told Victor he’d think about moving into Victor and Nikki’s old house.
Is there a possibility that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Crazy Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) are messing with more than just Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford)? What if the supervillains have Adam stashed somewhere? Nobody realizes yet because there’s so much going on with the ranch, the wedding, Victor’s crazy revenge plans, and the takeover of Chancellor. Meanwhile, Nick has his hands full with Sharon’s confession. And Victoria and Nikki never ever think about Adam.

The last time Jordan wreaked havoc, Adam had nothing to do with her plans. Maybe she changed her mind because she’s now hooked up with Ian. Meanwhile, Ian is well aware of Adam. They schemed together at one point, and Ian probably still has beef with him. Also, it doesn’t hurt that he’s Victor’s son. And Victor would be hurt if something happened to Adam.
Is it right to be suspicious, or is this wishful thinking because we’re hoping Y&R will utilize Adam in a different capacity than he’s been utilized in the last few months? Let us know in the comments.
