Sharon Case’s character once again finds herself in captivity on The Young and the Restless. While kidnapping stories have been a common staple throughout her career, the actress had trouble filming her recent scenes.

Not A Morning Person

A few weeks ago, Sharon was kidnapped by Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and held captive in a sewer. Although things looked gloomy, she mustered up the strength and escaped.

Yet, just as her life was returning to normal, more trouble arose.

Sharon again has been kidnapped; however, she’s not the only Genoa City resident that’s disappeared. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) also went missing, and she and Sharon found themselves locked together in a secret room.

The longtime enemies must work together to escape their captor.

Sharon and Phyllis being kidnapped and trapped together makes for an entertaining story. Case and Stafford enjoyed their new storyline, however, there was one aspect the actresses didn’t like.

During an interview with TV Insider, Case revealed their scenes were shot early in the morning.

“Oh, I was really grumpy,” Case revealed. “Everyone out there knows I hate being first up in the morning. And not because it’s early. It’s because you have to come up with a lot of emotion and scream and cry and it’s 8 in the morning.”

Despite the early morning shoot, Case says filming went off without a hitch. “Everything seemed so easy and fell right into place,” the actress explained. “Maybe we’ve been working together for so long, but we just slid into it without questions; we didn’t even have to discuss it. It’s like we read each other’s minds, or we’re just on the same page.”

Although her character has to go through another kidnapping, she’s excited about her story with Stafford. “As storylines go, I love this one. I had a lot of fun doing it. I love working with Michelle. It was very challenging, but every day she and I got in there and we just did it. We did the impossible some days.”
