On the Wednesday, March 27 episode of The Young and the Restless, Lily made a rash move, which may prove to be her undoing at Chancellor-Winters.
Emotional Firing
At Society, Lily (Christel Khalil, who teased a whole new Lily) spoke with Devon (Bryton James) about firing Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Heather (Vail Bloom). Devon seemed supportive of his sister until Billy (Jason Thompson) crashed their meeting.
Billy pointed out that Lily shouldn’t fire Heather or Daniel for something personal. Lily didn’t pay much attention to what Billy said, though. When Devon discussed the whole thing with Abby (Melissa Ordway), he worried that Lily’s actions might open them up to a lawsuit. Abby felt the best thing would be for Heather and Daniel to resign.
Of course, Heather and Daniel talked the whole thing through, and they decided neither of them would resign. As they wondered what to do over coffee at Crimson Lights, Lily blew in. She let them both know that they were fired, effective immediately.

If Lily had left it at that, she would probably have been okay. Sure, it was pushing things a bit, but Heather and Daniel may have gone their own way and left it alone. However, when Daniel apologized, Lily said, “You should’ve thought of that before you betrayed me.”
Those words are likely what will cause her a problem. Heather is a lawyer, and she didn’t miss a bit of what Lily said. The phrasing makes it very obvious that Lily fired them in retaliation for their affair. We foresee Heather and Daniel filing a lawsuit, which will likely make Lily’s life more difficult.
While we applaud Lily for standing up for herself and not just rolling over after the affair, we worry that she may end up a two-time loser in this. Once personally and another time professionally. What do you think? Sound off in the comments below.
