The Young and the Restless heroine, Sharon, has been through a harrowing ordeal recently. From being drugged, framed for murder, and kidnapped, it’s been an emotional time for her. But now it looks like things are returning to normal. Or are they?
Is Sharon Okay?
Ian (Ray Wise) and Jordan (Colleen Zenk) put Sharon (Sharon Case) through the wringer. The dastardly duo switched her meds, framed her for Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder, and then kidnapped and planned to kidnap her.
Luckily, Sharon escaped captivity, and Jordan and Ian met their makers. With Ian and Jordan gone and Sharon exonerated for her crimes, she’s trying to return to a normal life. However, more chaos could be coming for Sharon. Although Sharon says she’s fine, Y&R fans noticed she hasn’t been acting right.
When Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) recently confronted Sharon about getting off scot-free for her crimes, Sharon defended her innocence. At one point, when Sharon mentioned Phyllis should be thankful she didn’t kill her during a hallucination.
Then, during her visit to Adam’s (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) house, Sharon was nosy about the exes’ relationship. Her behavior is suspicious, plus her recent romantic dream about Nick (Joshua Morrow) raises more red flags.
Sharon has bipolar disorder and has had several breakdowns in the past. Her manic episodes led her to burn down the Newman ranch and switch Summer’s (Allison Lanier) paternity test results. Given her past breakdowns and her recent behavior, it’s understandable why fans are worried about Sharon. And Sharon’s family should, too.
Sharon went through a lot of trauma because of Ian and Jordan, and she might not have fully recovered. Sharon could still have remnants of PCP in her system, which might impact her bipolar medication.
Is Sharon headed for another breakdown? Or does she need more time to readjust to her normal life? One thing is certain, Sharon will need her family’s support more than ever.
