Ian spent most of the January 29 episode of The Young and the Restless taunting the Newmans while Victor insisted he wouldn’t get away with it! Victor has the best security team in the world! Like that guy lying unconscious at Victor’s feet! Since we know Victor would only hire the best, we have to assume his security team is, in fact, tops. Which means something else is going on here.

How did that happen, exactly? How did a crazy, unarmed loon like Ian get the best of a perfectly trained, top-of-the-line security guard? Pretty easily, as a matter of fact. Love Makes the World Go Around
Who would ever betray Victor? Don’t the folks who work for him love him as a father? Don’t they vie for the chance to lay down their lives for him? Why wouldn’t they work for Victor even if there was no money in it for them?
We know Victor believes that, and there might lie the crux of the problem. Victor is probably a terrible employer—not just because he abuses and berates his workers—but that’s OK. He treats his family the same way. He honestly believes they would work for him just for the honor of it, and so he pays them accordingly.
We bet Victor’s security staff is the best in the world—and also the worst paid. That’s why they keep letting villains in and letting them grab their guns. They really want his dream job to come to an end.
