What Nikki Doesn’t Know about Chancellor On Young and the Restless December 2

She might have some nasty surprises ahead.

Victor gave Nikki yet another company to run on the December 2 episode of The Young and the Restless. He keeps doing that, doesn’t he? And then he keeps taking them away from her. Why?

We know it’s because Victor is the best chess master who ever chess mastered, and every move he makes is brilliant and for the good of his family and not to be questioned, but…is it also possible that Nikki…just isn’t very good at running these various companies? Maybe Victor is trying to spare her feelings by claiming other, more noble reasons. Maybe she’s just a really, really bad manager? But what if Nikki’s potential incompetence is only a small part of the pitfalls she’ll face at Chancellor?

Poison Pill

So, because Victor (Eric Braeden) is so great at the business stuff, he tricked Diane (Susan Walters) into taking ownership of Glissade after he’d sold off all the company’s assets, making it basically a shell worth nothing. How do we know that Billy (Jason Thompson) didn’t do the same thing before he left Abbott-Chancellor? Billy was really, really mad at both Victor and Jill (Jess Walton). If it’s a good enough dirty trick for Victor to play, why not Billy, too?

What if Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) first day at the office includes discovering that…the office is all that’s still left?

No Backsies

Meanwhile, Victor’s brilliant Glissade plan doesn’t seem so brilliant now that Jack (Peter Bergman) told Diane that he’s bought all the assets back for her, so Glissade is a full company again. Boy, who knew buying and selling millions of dollars worth of companies was so simple?

All those teams of lawyers with their fancy degrees and experience in corporate mergers must be seriously overpaid. You can just do it with the click of a button — are multimillion-dollar companies sold on Amazon?

The point is, if Jack could fix Victor’s clever trick so quickly, what’s to stop Billy and Lily (Christel Khalil) from doing the same? Nikki shouldn’t get too comfortable. For whatever reason, her reign as CEO may not last too long.
