What Jack and Diane’s Argument On Young and the Restless Really Means For Kyle And Victor

Did Jack and Diane find a clever way to set up Kyle and Victor? They hate that their son works with the enemy on The Young and the Restless. It seems like the stress has been getting to them lately, resulting in more than one public disagreement. Could their surprise arguments be one of their sneaky tricks?

Tense Lunch at GCAC

On the October 8 episode, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) had lunch at Genoa City Athletic Club. Everything went well until the couple got into an argument. Diane told Jack that she had changed. She claimed she’s no longer a “manipulative bitch.” She passionately threw her napkin on the table. 

Jack attempted to calm her down. However, she wouldn’t give up without a fight. Diane claimed she’s tired of trying to prove herself to Jack that she’s a new person. The couple has been through their share of ups and downs over the years. They’ve also fought more than usual in recent days.

Diane returned to Genoa City as a new woman. She’s no longer the sneaky, conniving woman holding a vendetta. But did she really change? Or are Jack and Diane in on the joke?

Scheming to Take Down Victor

The argument between Jack and Diane feels fake. It came out left field, especially since the couple has been so solid up to this point. Also, Diane left her computer open last week in the Abbott living room, practically inviting Kyle to snoop and get information about Jabot, which he did. Victor happily accepted the details of the new Jabot face cream.

Jack and Diane’s argument could have been set up for Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Victor (Eric Braeden). So far, it’s looked like both men fell for the bait. This argument was all an act to make Victor believe he’s succeeding in sowing chaos for the Abbott family. 

It’s unlike Jack and Diane to argue in public, especially with Kyle and Victor within earshot. If they were really arguing, they would keep it down to a whisper.
