Victoria can’t stand the idea of Johnny and Katie turning against Victor. Because if that happens, Victoria might need to reevaluate her own loyalty to the man who has been manipulating and controlling her since before she was born. (Victor knew he was the father of Nikki’s [Melody Thomas Scott] baby, but lied about it and ordered her to marry Kevin Bancroft.)
And Victoria isn’t emotionally ready to do that. So she’s hiding behind her kids. And protecting herself.
