On The Young and the Restless, Sharon’s spiral culminated in her or someone else potentially killing Heather. However, because of Sharon’s reluctant narrator status and her delusions, fans weren’t completely sure whether Heather met a permanent demise or it was all a hallucination. Yes, Sharon’s that messed up right now.

Heather’s Fate Answered

The showdown between Heather (Vail Bloom) and Sharon (Sharon Case) happened on Friday, September 27. The attorney’s family — Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) — have worried about her ever since. Even though a sudden text from Heather clued them into her leaving town. In reality, Sharon, who possessed Heather’s phone, sent the text.

Bloom recently discussed Heather’s fate. Her character died that fateful night she surprised Sharon after the woman broke into Daniel’s place. However, she didn’t find out about Heather’s death until a few weeks before filming. “I had about three weeks’ notice,” Bloom told TV Insider.

The actress had a very realistic, pragmatic outlook on her character’s alleged murder: “That’s just the world of soaps. But any time you get news like that, it’s shocking because you love the character, and it was such a beautiful, long run woven in and out through a couple of decades.”

Of course, shock wasn’t the only emotion Bloom felt. “There’s sadness because change is always hard. I love Heather, and I love what she’s done this year. And it’s fun playing with her. But as an actor, you know this show is not just about you. You’re fitting into a larger story with a lot of people.”

What she appreciated the most besides playing Heather was working with co-stars like Sharon Case. “Sharon is extremely relaxed in between scenes, and she’s very go-with-the-flow,” she revealed. “She doesn’t have an ego that you sometimes see in acting. She’s really humble and so chill in between scenes. At the end, we were like, ‘Oh, no. What are we going to do now? Ok, let’s link up outside of work.”

While Bloom and Case will no doubt see each other again outside of work, they may also reconnect at the Y&R studio. The actress hinted that Sharon may see Heather again. Will the Cassidy First and Crimson Lights owner conjure up Heather in her head like she does with Cameron (Linden Ashby)? Guilt is an insidious thing, isn’t it?
