Many characters on The Young and the Restless are both gone and forgotten. Reed Hellstrom is neither. Emmy-nominee Tristan Lake Leabu, who plays J.T. and Victoria’s son, is coming back to Genoa City!
Welcome Back, Tristan Lake Leabu
The newest issue of Soap Opera Digest, dated March 2, 2020, reports that Leabu is returning to YR. He’s set to appear on the top-rated soap starting Monday, March 2.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) sure could use the support now that her union with Billy (Jason Thompson) has hit the skids once more. No matter how many times these two try to make a go of it and no matter how many second chances Victoria gives Billy, they can’t seem to do it.
Reed, named after his maternal grandmother Nikki’s maiden name, came into the world in 2007. Nine years later, he was aged to a teen when Leabu took on the part. Reed’s gotten into some trouble over the years.
He used his mom’s credit card to ring up some charges on a porn site. Reed’s also been arrested for driving under the influence and he was sentenced to a 1-year suspended driver’s license and community service.
He still went ahead and got behind the wheel, accidentally striking Nikki with a car. His family agreed to hide what he’d done, but Reed lost his driving privileges, courtesy this time of his mother. Nikki felt it was important to take on some of the blame as she was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Reed was devastated to learn that his father had been abusive to both his stepmother Mac (Kelly Kruger) and his mother. He smashed his father’s guitar in frustration and found it difficult to forgive J.T. for his behavior.
It’s unclear how long Reed will be sticking around this time. Stay tuned for updates. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
