Shemar Moore, who shot to fame as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless, is mourning the loss of his beloved mother, who passed away earlier this month.
Condolences To Shemar Moore
Moore shared the heart-breaking news in a clearly and understandably emotional Instagram video. “Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore, my mother, best friend, and partner in crime passed away Feb 8th at 76 years old…” the actor wrote.
“I miss her more than I ever thought possible and I don’t know how to do this life without her …. but I get my STRENGTH from her and I will be OK because of HER. Mama…. here come that man!!!!! What I do from this day forward is for YOU!!!!
“I’m going to continue to LEAP and pray that the NET appears!! It was too soon …. and it hurts so bad…. but I know you are with me and will continue to give me strength… I love you mama ❤️.”
In a follow-up post, Moore shared a photo of himself and Marilyn with the caption: “My Mama always said ‘I was at the front of the line when God was handing out sons’ …. and I always said ‘Mama, you know I cut the line to get to you!’ ❤️ I love you mama ❤️.”
Marilyn’s obituary on the Lehman, Reen, McNamara Funeral Home page reads that she was a resident of Redondo Beach, Calif. and that her passing was sudden. Marilyn was the daughter of the late Herbert and Marie Wilson of Bright, Mass. She was mother to Shemar F. Moore and sister to Stephen Wilson (Jean) of W. Roxbury, Mass.
A jazz lover, Marilyn taught math in the Boston Public School system. She was retired from the International Business division of Hewlett – Packaard. In lieu of flowers kindly send donations to The National MS Society, 101A First St., Waltham, MA 02451. Soap Hub sends sincere condolences to Moore at this difficult time.
