On The Young and the Restless, Kyle Abbott is figuring out his life post-divorce while adjusting to not being the co-CEO at Jabot. Off-screen, performer Michael Mealor is celebrating a different kind of major milestone.
That’s because he was born on February 29, 1992, Leap Day, in Atlanta, Georgia, which means that this leap-day baby is turning 32 years old today! Mealor had always been interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts world but feared that the ambition was too lofty.
However, after being discovered by a modeling scout and being signed to the prestigious Wilhelmina agency, he soon appeared in a special ad campaign for Coca-Cola, as well as becoming a favorite model for the Abercrombie and Fitch company.
A brief foray into college was followed by a permanent relocation to Los Angeles and an enrollment in acting classes. Shortly after that, he was hired for a role in the creature feature Indigenous.
Subsequently, Mealor appeared in bit parts on programs such as Chasing Life, Supergirl, and Roadies. In 2015, he could be seen in the short film Here Now, and a year later, he had a two-episode run in the series Fall into Me.
On March 29, 2018, Mealor joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama Y&R in the contract role of Kyle Abbott.
