Fans are hoping that Lily returns to Genoa City on a more full-time basis, but for now, Christel Khalil has found an exciting new role. It’s not one that will necessarily put her in front of the camera. However, it’s bringing her great peace.

“Embarking on part 2 of my Kundalinj Teacher training!” Khalil shared on Instagram. “Kundalini yoga has helped to completely transform my mindset/life and bring my subconscious to my conscious mind. So excited to be one step closer to being certified to help bring this healing practice to more people. Thank you to @strike.a.kjord for being such an amazing teacher who has ignited my fire for this! Beyond happy to learn from such an amazing soul!”
Don’t be surprised if some of Khalil’s The Young and the Restless pals are first to sign up for any classes she ends up teaching. Stars from the top-rated soap were among the first to chime in with positive responses to Khalil’s post.
“Exciting!!” wrote Stacy Haiduk (Kristen, Days of Our Lives; ex-Patty/ex-Emily, YR). Bryton James (Devon) chimed in with five “Okay!” emojis. Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) posted heart and applause emojis. Brytni Sarpy (Elena) expressed her thoughts with three heart emojis. Sofia Pernas (ex-Marisa) wrote: “You goddess!!” and Kevin Schmidt (ex-Noah) posted a smile.
Christel Khalil joined The Young and the Restless in 2002 when Dru (Victoria Rowell) and Lily returned from Paris where they had been living. The actress won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Leading Actress in a Drama Series in 2012. In 2008, she won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series.
The actress took a break from the show last year. To write her off the canvas, Lily went to jail for her role in the vehicular death of Hilary (Mishael Morgan). The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
