Rey’s much-talked-about wife on The Young and the Restless will now be a living and breathing character in GC. The daytime newcomer will be making her debut soon.
According to Soap Opera Digest, actress Noemí Gonzalez has been hired to play Mia, the estranged wife of Rey (Jordi Vilasuso).
Watch for her to debut on Monday, November 12.
Gonzalez’s credits include the film The Tax Collector and the TV series Dark/Web, East Los High, and Rosewood.
On October 11, National Coming Out Day, she revealed her sexual orientation on Instagram.
“I knew since high school that I was in love with women,” the actress posted. “Because I was straight passing I made a choice to come out, be open, be seen and be assertive in my quest to live fully in my queer self.
“It’s been one of the greatest moments of self love I ever did for myself. I am so very thankful I did. I salute those of you who came out before me and I salute those who are currently on their own beautiful, private journey to come out.”
