There’s no denying that The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford is a stunning woman with a body many women would kill for. Okay, not literally kill, but you get the picture. Now, she wants to share her ‘secrets’ in a new book.

Michelle Stafford: Writing The Book On Staying Healthy

However, it’s not easy staying that way and Stafford has turned to Instagram to tell at least part of her story.

“The most commonly asked question of me by others is “how do you stay so thin?” Ya know… there is no secret, there is no magical potion. It is always diet and exercise. And in order to lose weight, it is also diet and exercise. Of course, the decision to change is the main thing. One must decide to change and want to change. THAT is the “secret”… I have had an extremely, how should I say it, unconventional relationship with food,” she wrote.

We All Love Food

“I, like the next person, love to eat good food, and usually the best tasting food is the stuff that is not so great for our belly and ass. Although… I am determined to change that. Some of you know I am in the middle of writing a book on taking care of your skin from the inside out. I have been working on this book for over a year. The research has been extensive but believe me, it will be worth it!!”

In fact, Stafford talks more about her struggles in Women Fitness. “When I eat junk and sit on my ass, it shows, and when I eat healthier, more nutritious foods and I’m more active, that shows also,” she says in the article. “It’s easy for me to gain weight, but also easy for me to lose it as well. It takes a certain amount of self-honesty to be aware of the connection between my behavior and when I feel my clothes feel a bit snugger.”

Balancing It All

And while The Young and the Restless star doesn’t have a set exercise routine, she certainly works out. “I really enjoy running outdoors. I also have a Peloton Bike that’s a great option for when running outside is not possible,” Michelle Stafford says. “I also created my own workout routine that includes planks and upper body moves for when I have the time. I occasionally go to the gym. I’m not obsessed with my workouts and, if I’m busy trying to balance my career and family life, I refuse to stress myself out over a missed run.”

As a single mother of two young children, Natalia and Jameson, it can’t always be an easy balance, but whatever Stafford is doing, it definitely looks like it’s working. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
