Nicholas Newman is worried about everyone, especially his mother who has fallen off the wagon on The Young and the Restless, but his portrayer, Joshua Morrow, is busy celebrating a major milestone.
That’s because he was born on February 8, 1974, in Juneau, Alaska, which means that this veteran performer is turning 50 years old today! Prior to his daytime career, Morrow played beside fellow actor Eddie Cibrian and CJ Huyer in the musical group 3Deep.
He made his Y&R debut on June 21, 1994. Since that time, he has portrayed Newman offspring Nicholas — a role which has won Morrow five consecutive Daytime Emmy Award nominations and two Soap Opera Digest Awards for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor and Outstanding Hero.
His other acting credits include a guest appearance on The Nanny, a made-for-TV movie, My Stepson, My Lover, and roles in six feature films — Two Million Stupid Women, Parker, Tentacle 8, Golden Shoes, A Killer Walks Amongst Us, and Loyalty.
Through his band, 3Deep, Morrow released two albums — Yes, Yes, Yes…No, No, No and Can’t Get Over You. The latter disc, available since 1999, includes their Top 10 (in Canada) single, Into You.
Outside of acting, Morrow is known for competing on the World Poker Tour in the Hollywood Home Games and donating his winnings to The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
He has been married to Tobe Keeney since August 4, 2001, and together they have four children — Cooper, Crew, Cash, and Charlie Jo, the lone girl amongst a sea of brothers.
Soap Hub would like to wish Joshua Morrow a very happy birthday, and you can too by clicking on the X (formerly Twitter) link below.
