Theo is making his mark on The Young and the Restless as Genoa City’s latest hunk. Now, it appears that the young man might be getting a relative on the show.

Soaps.com is reporting that actor Jon Briddell has been cast as Eric Vanderway, which happens to be Theo’s (Tyler Johnson) surname!
While Theo has indicated that his dad passed away, it doesn’t mean that Riddle isn’t playing Theo’s pop. He might be appearing in flashback scenes or Theo could have been lying about his father being deceased.
Little is known about Theo’s early life other than he spent time in New York with Kyle (Michael Mealor) a while back and they did some wild partying. Since then, he’s come to Genoa City and has been cozying up to Summer (Hunter King).

Devon (Bryton James) recently let Theo go from his position at Hamilton Winters so, it’s possible that Theo will need to reach out to a family member for some financial aid.
Briddell no stranger to soaps. He appeared as a reporter on All My Children in 2010 and his other credits include Doom Patrol as Darren Jones and roles on Secrets and Lies, Army Wives, and Knight Rider.
