It looks like the younger set in Genoa City is getting an exciting new addition as former Ozark Season 3 recurring player Madison Thompson joins The Young and the Restless.
Madison Thompson Comes To Daytime
According to Deadline, she will play the role of Jordan, “a worldly young woman who will prove that there’s more than meets the eye.” They added that she starts work today, with her first episode set to hit the airwaves around late October.
The actress revealed the news site article to her Instagram account adding, “so excited to finally share that I am joining the @youngandrestlesscbs !!! thank you to my incredible team (@cleartalentgroup , @valerie.mccaffrey.58 ) and family for helping me make this all possible ❤️.”
Thompson hails from Atlanta and showed an interest in the arts at the early age of 10 when she began winning roles in local musical theater productions. In fact, she earned a Shuler Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2018 for her role as Wendy in Peter Pan. She has also appeared on many primetime shows including American Housewife, NCIS: New Orleans, Major Crimes, and a three-episode arc on Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.
Currently, she is a Presidential Scholar at the University of Southern California where she is pursuing a business degree in cinematic arts, with the hope of learning more about the business side of the industry while also minoring in musical theater.
On the cult-hit Netflix show Ozark, she played Erin, daughter to Janet McTeer’s Helen Pierce. She got to play the mischievous teen who was clueless that her mother was the fixer/lawyer to a dangerous mobster, sent to the Ozarks to keep watch on the Byrd family.
As for what Jordan will be up to in Genoa City and how she will be weaved into the story remains to be seen. It’s not like there are a lot of characters on the canvas right now in the late teens/early 20s. Could the Ashby twins and Reed be coming back?
Or is something else afoot in Genoa City? Stay tuned to find out. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
